Leeds Bradford Airport is that bit further from Teesside than our other three airports, but its budget-friendly route network means plenty of our customers choose it anyway — and a booked minibus transfer takes the sting out of the extra miles.
A wider choice of budget routes
With Jet2 and Ryanair both operating substantial programmes from Leeds Bradford, the airport often has more frequent or better-priced flights to popular holiday destinations than closer alternatives. For families and groups planning ahead, that price difference can easily outweigh the extra hour on the road, especially once you factor in what a minibus transfer saves elsewhere.
Skip the drive, skip the parking
At around an hour to an hour and a half from most of our Teesside pickup points, self-driving to Leeds Bradford means either a very early start behind the wheel or asking someone to do the school run in reverse and collect you when you land. Airport parking for a week or more away adds a further cost on top. Booking a minibus instead means a fixed price agreed in advance, a driver who does the motorway miles so you don’t have to, and no car sitting in a long-stay car park racking up charges while you’re away.
Comfortable for the longer run
Because this transfer covers more motorway miles than our other airport routes, our executive and luxury trim minibuses are a popular upgrade, with reclining seats making the extra distance far more comfortable, particularly for an early departure or a late-night return.
Wherever you’re starting from
Darlington is the shortest of our regular routes at around an hour, while Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees and Durham all sit between 1 hour 10 minutes and 1 hour 20 minutes. Whichever end of Teesside you’re travelling from, we track your flight and plan the pickup time to give you a comfortable buffer before check-in closes.
